The inspiration behind my hand-built individual ceramic vessels comes from observations of shapes and forms found in the vibrancy of nature, especially in and around the ocean. I am also energized and motivated to incorporate imprints of existing objects such as buttons, shells, pearls and costume jewelry pieces that once belonged to beloved family members. By integrating these important and personal objects, I hope to infuse into my nature-inspired work a pattern of rich history, lushness and antiquity.
